How to get up on a paddle?

Sbrava Nautique provides guidance on the proper techniques to get back onto your paddle board. Once you’re on, you’ll need to gradually stand up while holding your paddle. Paddleboarding is all about balance—and when you step out of your comfort zone to improve, falling in is just part of the experience.
So, how do you stand up on a paddle board?
Start by holding your paddle in one hand and placing it along the board. Then, slowly move into a kneeling position. Take your time—there’s no need to rush. Once you’re kneeling on your board, position yourself in the center. Place one foot down, then the other, and gently rise to your feet.

How to get back on a paddle?

Lost your balance in the middle of the lake and ended up in the water? Time to get back on your paddle board! Don’t worry—it’s not that hard. Start by placing your paddle on the board to free up both hands. Position yourself alongside the board—never try to climb on from the front or the back. Then, use your arms to pull yourself up until your chest or stomach is resting on the board. From there, get onto your knees, then slowly stand up. Keep an eye on your paddle throughout the process. And you’re back in action!
One last tip now that you know how to get back on a paddle board: if you feel yourself falling, let yourself fall into the water—it’s much gentler than hitting the board. Then just follow the steps above to climb back on!
